2017 BMW 1 Series Sedan officially


BMW 1-Series Sedan version:

 

 

 

 

After a huge success on the model of BMW 1-Series, the company has decided to launch a Sedan class of this series to be on the race of Sedan series with the competitors of Audi, Mercedes, Volvo and on….

 




It has released some of its pictures from china, the first set of pictures of the new BMW 1-series sedan has surfaced on the web from China. The new pictures show BMW’s smallest sedan from all angles. BMW had released a single image of this new car back in July 2016. Now it has a bunch of its pictures on the web to show it a real view of it.

The new BMW 1-series sedan borrows much of its styling from the compact sedan concept but gets notable differences in design like the addition of fog lamps on the front bumpers, new alloy wheels and wing mirrors and minor tweaks to the trim on the exterior. The images reveal the car’s rear styling for the first time. The BMW 1-series sedan gets a familiar look on the back as well, with styling reminiscent of the larger BMW 3-series family.

BMW 1 series sedan Engine & Transmission:

Three engine options will be on offer, a base 118i with a 1.5-litre turbo three-cylinder motor, a mid-spec 120i featuring a 192hp 2.0-litre turbo petrol and a top-spec 125i with a 231hp version of the same engine. The sedan is 4,456mm long, 1,803mm wide and 1,446mm tall, and gets a wheelbase of 2,670mm. This makes it wider and taller but shorter than its rival, the Mercedes CLA sedan. The 1-series sedan, however, measures the same as the Audi A3 sedan but is a tad wider and higher.a three cylinder (2.0-litre) common-rail diesel unit with a 6-speed manual and 8-speed Steptronic gearboxes on offer. The car has been built to support the front wheel drive architecture and is developed to support new 1 series hatch that presently sold in India.

 

India, but considering that entry-level sedans from competitors like Mercedes CLA and Audi A3 have great demand, it’s expected that car would make its way into the Indian market. The car would fill the gap between its current offerings in India and would be positioned between 1 series hatch and 3 series sedan.

From the BMW 1 series images that have leaked so far, it appears that they are inspired from the X1 and 2 Series active tourer, and BMW 1 series interiors have an identical steering wheel and layout for buttons. Along with 50:50 weight split that BMW always tries to achieve, BMW 1 series features of the production models should have modern headlamps with DRLs among the trademark kidney grille, the rear would have LED taillamps and dual exhausts.

BMW 1 series sedan Expected Mileage:

The BMW 1 series mileage, from the range of engines that it would employ, could be anywhere between 14-23kmpl. From two petrol engine, you can expect mileage in the range of 14-18kmpl while from the turbo diesel motor that would certainly be more frugal and should offer mileage in the range of 20-23kmpl.

BMW 1 series sedan Expected Price:

The car would certainly be more expensive than the 1 series hatch and since it would be positioned between the 3 series sedan and the hatch. It’s expected that BMW 1 series price in India would be somewhere between Rs 30-38 Lacs.
